Edwin Meade, R.Ph., F.A.C.A.

Co-Owner


Edwin earned a B.S. in Pharmacy form the University of South Carolina in 1965 and returned to McFalls Drug for a short time before joining Kinard Drug in 1967.  Having always had a special interest in compounding, he increased his volume over 20 years ago and joined PCCA - Professional Compounding Centers of America.  Edwin has completed extensive training in basic and aseptic compounding as well as veterinary compounding at PCCA in Houston.  He is active in pharmacy associations - the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists and the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists.

Betsy King, Pharm.D.

Co-Owner


Betsy started working in the pharmacy at about age 12.  She earned her B.S. in Pharmacy in 1991 and Doctorate in Pharmacy from UNC - Chapel Hill in 2000.  She has been a pharmacist for 25 years with the same special interest in compounding as her Dad, Ed Meade.  She has completed extensive training in basic and aseptic compounding, bioidentical hormones/women's health as well as veterinary compounding at PCCA in Houston, TX.  Betsy also provides one-on-one counseling for women who are experiencing the many stages of menopause.  Her combined training and experience help to provide the patient with personal and customized solutions.  She works closely with the doctor and the patient to achieve the ideal triad of care - patient, physician and pharmacist.

Misty Byrd, Pharm.D.


Misty obtained her undergraduate degree from Campbell University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 1997.  She obtained her Graduate degree, Pharm.D., from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 2001.  She has extensive experience in long-term care pharmacy and has 20 years of experience in compounding.  Misty worked with Custom Care Pharmacy from 2005 - 2008 and returned in 2015 as one of our Compounding Pharmacists.  Outside of the pharmacy, Misty uses her skills on medical missions.  She has treated patients during several mission trips to India, China, Costa Rica, Africa and the Middle East.
